 “Understanding the Reformation”

A Weekend Seminar in Ballarat (Friday 22 –  Sunday 24 September 2017)

In October 2017 the Western world will commemorate the 500th anniversary of one of the most tumultuous social, cultural and religious revolutions in its 1500 year development: the Protestant Reformation. One way or another, the events following upon Martin Luther’s posting of the 95 Theses on October 31st 1517 continue to affect us today.

Join us for this intensive course to find out what ‘the Reformation’ was all about, why it happened when it did, what ideas and movements were behind it, and ultimately how, out of the chaos, the western Catholic Church was itself reformed in practice, faith & mission.

When: Friday 22 to Sunday 24 September beginning Friday at 7:30pm and ending on Sunday at 4pm.

Cost: $95 payable in advance. Morning and afternoon teas provided. Lunch $12.50 extra per person, per day.
